My name is Anjala. I created DreamWeaver Designs after much poking and prodding from my family. I want to offer affordable snoods because I know that there are many of us out there that cannot afford the prices people are asking for snoods today.
I was born in New Castle, Indiana (which is a small town just Northeast of Indianapolis, IN). I graduated in 1990 and lived there until 1997.
My mother taught me to crochet when I was in the 4th grade. As most children do, something else shiny distracted me and I didn't crochet for years. Around 1995, I picked up crocheting again, and have been doing it off and on ever since.
Last year, I broke my wrist and my doctor told me that he thought I would never get use of my wrist back. I crochet now because it is a luxury in my life. I am lucky that I can do it.
Crocheting is also a form of stress-relief for me. When I have a particularly hard day, I pull out my crochet hooks and thread and just let myself get lost in the melding and merging of the yarn. It is quite relaxing.
I currently reside in Indianapolis, Indiana with my husband, Dillan, and our kitty, Emma. My husband and I have been together for 12 years (but we have been officially married for 3).
Outside of my crocheting, I love to go to Sci-fi/Fantasy & gaming (D&D) conventions, filking, reading, anything Harry Potter, and hanging out with my family and friends. I have also been known to write poetry and short stories every now and then. I even had one of my poems published twice at the college I attended, Ivy Tech Community College.
There is more to me than this, but this is a good start.
I hope that my customers will be able to gain a knowledge of snoods and how wonderful they are. I also want them to be able to have a quality product without having to give their first-born as a down-payment on my products. Fun and fashion do not have to be expensive. Quality can come without have to "cash in the farm."
